  11 operators of your storage servers can read or alter your data

  21 the recently-released Twisted-10.2, and correcting a number of

  25 WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR?

  27 With Tahoe-LAFS, you distribute your filesystem across
  28 multiple servers, and even if some of the servers fail or are
  29 taken over by an attacker, the entire filesystem continues to
  30 work correctly, and continues to preserve your privacy and
  31 security. You can easily share specific files and directories
  32 with other people.

  34 In addition to the core storage system itself, volunteers
  35 have built other projects on top of Tahoe-LAFS and have
  36 integrated Tahoe-LAFS with existing systems, including
  37 Windows, JavaScript, iPhone, Android, Hadoop, Flume, Django,
  38 Puppet, bzr, mercurial, perforce, duplicity, TiddlyWiki, and

  42 Software, erasure coding, and principled engineering practices
  43 make Tahoe-LAFS safer than RAID, removable drive, tape,
  44 on-line backup or cloud storage.

  47 there are no known bugs or security flaws which would
  48 compromise confidentiality or data integrity under recommended

  56 Tahoe-LAFS. Clients from this release can write files and
  57 directories in the format used by clients of all versions back

  60 all versions since v1.0. Servers from this release can serve
  61 clients of all versions back to v1.0 and clients from this
  62 release can use servers of all versions back to v1.0.

  65 series of Tahoe-LAFS will be actively supported and maintained
  66 for the foreseeable future, and future versions of Tahoe-LAFS
